All the english speaking countries have different slangs, accent, expressions etc.But all the english speaking people use an unbeatable combination to two words
"F*****G SHIT".
If you look at this word and try to interpret the literal meaning, you will be in splits. This is hilarious, impossible. It cannot happen in reality, so it leaves us with the supposition that it can be used for something unusually bad ( which cant happen otherwise), this way we make it clear where to use it :).
Another misleading word is "Back-biting", although this is more prevelant among girls, which makes it more comic.Back-biting is really bad and a curse for a good friendship.I prefer Mc Chicken rather.....
Since people cannot use "." (full stop) in spoken english, they use some delimiters like "You know".What the heck? If I would have known it, why would i waste my time with a bin.
Most of the people also like to verify what they spoke is correct, so they suffix a "Right? " in the end of each sentence. This may create confusions sometimes. Suppose your navigator has this habit and he says "Now we will turn left, right?".It is difficult. You may bang your car somewhere with such person.
Another misleading word is "Gay", on one side it means happiness, and on the other side it is more popular.Since popular side is not openly accepted, the noble meaning of this word is suppressed.People are not comfortable using this word even in good sense....
Now a days , people meet and their conversation starts with "Whats up","Hows life","Anything new".Thats it.The most common answers are "Nothing much" ,"Going on","Well ya somethings".Then the elevator reaches the desired floor.
The usage of word "Shit" is so common and open in english speaking countries..They just say it openly :).Otherwise they have very good facilities.
Take care..

It happens always and everybody is used to it now.2day it's trend to talk in this way.
Shit is such a common idiom that people in all countries would understand... even if they don’t speak English. I guess there is some sort of FCC regulation that forbids people from using ‘shit’ word on television. But not everyone follow that. May be the word is meant to humiliate somebody… or associate it with something of little value. Or generally, people use it when they are irritated or a little nervous about something I guess. For example: “I was so shit-scared of that shit-head that I shit-talked him into dropping out of the shitting boxing match”. Or say “"I have a shitload of papers to finish today”.
But then, I believe it may mean ‘shit’ to express something good as well. For example: “I love this shit”.. or “This shit is really cool”….. Wondering how this connotation came?? May be Hollywood can answer that.
Or… perhaps, people use this to express something for which they can’t think of any words. Like..“I couldn’t figure out what’s wrong with that wire-less shit”. Thanks to ‘shit’ word – people can use this to substitute for just about any word – take a respite from that stupid dictionary.
And the word may not sound ‘cool’ to everybody.
So… this word is very misleading and Idiosyncratic.
and there are other things like "holy shit".. "holy crap".. "I'm in deep shit"... "he is a funky shit"..."This is serious shit"... "Get your shit together"..."stupid shit"... I can think of many more :)
